Description
Late 19th to early 20th century Japanese scroll painting with ink and colors of two Manchurian cranes by tall bamboo, painted after Nakajima Raisho (1796-1871). Cranes are believed to be long lived and often appear as companions of elderly couple Jo and Uba. Beautifully painted, excellent detailing. Silk brocade mounts, in great condition. See 2 companion paintings in my catalog. Painting size 41.5 x 16 inches, scroll size 74 x 20.5 inches.
