Rather unusual 19th century netsuke in kagamibuta (mirror lid) style with multimetal disc depicting Daikoku on a ladder shaving the head of Fukurokuju, and porcelain bowl with underglaze blue painting of “The Three Friends of the Winter” - pine, prunus and bamboo - on the front, and a branch with peony on the back. Rare material for a bowl, superb quality painting, nice patina. Disc diameter 1.08 inches, bowl size 1.62 x 1.62 inches.
