Description

5th-8th Century AD. Gilt bronze size 2 for the small finger as was the custom. Typical Roman characteristics are the oval bezel and projecting bottom nub. The thick raised banded bezel has incised transverse lines dividing it into thirds which are inscribed with simple characters that serve as the unique signature of its owner. Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold surface restored. See the reference image which shows the process. Gift boxed with certificate of authenticity.
