An 1880 Morgan Silver Dollar, composed of ninety percent silver, r, designed by George T. Morgan. The obverse depicts Lady Liberty in classical profile facing left, adorned with a Phrygian cap encircled by cotton blossoms and wheat, with the word LIBERTY inscribed upon the headband, all framed by thirteen stars, the motto E PLURIBUS UNUM, and the date 1880 below. The reverse displays a heraldic eagle with wings spread in full extension, clutching arrows and an olive branch, encircled by a laurel wreath, and bordered by the inscriptions UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, ONE DOLLAR, and the phrase IN GOD WE TRUST.
