Seated Nude (Circa 2001). Oil on canvas; signed and unframed. Oil on canvas board depicting a seated female figure viewed from behind. Executed in the tonalist-impressionist style characteristic of the Studio Incamminati tradition; the composition features rich impasto brushwork with warm peachy-orange flesh tones set against a vibrant turquoise-green background. Hall studied at the Art Students League in Manhattan and extensively under Nelson Shanks; receiving her Certificate of Completion with Excellence in 2010. The work demonstrates her mastery of color relationships derived from the Hensche-Hawthorne lineage through Shanks. Painted and exhibited at Callanwolde in Atlanta.

CONDITION: The paint surface is in excellent condition with vivid, saturated colors and confident brushwork throughout. No visible cracking, flaking, or losses. A few very fine, light surface scratches are barely perceptible in the flesh tones of the back area under close inspection but do not affect the overall presentation. The canvas is taut and properly tensioned. The stretcher bars are in good condition. The verso shows some water staining/discoloration on the canvas backing, but this does not appear to have affected the painted surface on the recto.
