Multi-Figure Interior Scene. Original graphite sketch; very good condition in contemporary frame. Original graphite sketch depicting three figures - two women wearing period cloche hats and a man viewed from behind - gathered at what appears to be a cafe counter. Executed during the artists student years at the Designers Art School in Boston. Demonstrates confident draftsmanship with characteristic diagonal hatching to build form and shadow. Sketch quality rather than a finished drawing. Soft and compassionate.

CONDITION: Good overall condition for a work on paper of this age. The graphite drawing is clean and well-preserved with no significant fading, smudging, or erasure. The paper shows very slight toning consistent with age. No visible tears, creases, or foxing. The work is presented in a black-painted wood frame with a gold inner fillet, appearing to be a later presentation frame in good condition with minor surface wear. Black paper dust cover on verso with hanging wire and D-ring hardware intact and functional.
