Love Birds. Oil on canvas; signed and original frame. Oil on canvas titled Love Birds; depicting a classical still life arrangement featuring a decorative blue-gray pitcher adorned with pink and red bird motifs; a white and red patterned box; and red cherries arranged on draped fabric. Set against a rich; warm dark background with dramatic chiaroscuro lighting; the work demonstrates Halls command of color relationships and form. The painting showcases her training in the color theory lineage from Monet through Hensche; Hawthorne; and Chase to Nelson Shanks. Her training at Studio Incamminati under Nelson Shanks and the Art Students League in Manhattan developed the strong foundation for her art. The work exhibits confident brushwork with particular attention to the reflective surfaces of the ceramic pitcher and the luminous quality of the fruit. The warm golden-brown drapery provides tonal contrast to the cooler blues and crisp whites of the objects. Presented in a substantial gilt wood frame. Exhibited at the Atlanta Artists Center and the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Atlanta.

CONDITION: The painting is in very good condition. The oil paint surface is clean and stable with no visible cracking, flaking, or paint loss. Brushwork is crisp and colors remain vibrant throughout. The canvas is taut on its stretcher. The gilt-finished frame is in good condition overall with light surface scratches and minor scuffing consistent with normal handling. A small dark mark or nick is visible on the top rail of the frame. A small spot of what appears to be red paint is present on the upper right corner of the frame. The verso shows the original stretcher bars, artist's biographical label, and a gallery or exhibition label with artist name, title, and medium. Hanging wire and hardware are intact and functional.
