Description
Antique Chinese Red Lacquer Altar Table
This small Chinese red lacquer altar table has a top with mitered corners over a pair of brackets centering a single drawer with a brass pull. The inset apron on four canted legs is joined by raised stretchers. From the late Qing Dynasty, it is in overall good condition with minor early restoration, some stain, minor lacquer losses and age wear, originally from Hebei Province. It has been constructed from Yumu or northern elmwood.
