A 19th century Scottish Needlework Sampler. Made by "Ann S. Cornish October 31" with stylized Thistle border that contains images of birds and various swags and foliate motifs. Wear and fading, numerous losses. Image 12 1/2 x 15 5/8" high, in a period Mahogany frame with gilt accents with some losses, joint separation and wear, 16 5/8 x 19 5/8" high overall. ESTIMATE $300-500
