Description

28 pieces of Henriot Quimper hand-painted faience tea and biscuit service. Includes a teapot, a covered sugar bowl, eight cups, eight octagonal saucers, an octagonal platter, and 6 platees. Decorated with polychrome figures in traditional Bretagne dress and floral motifs, characteristic of the "petit breton" design. Produced in Quimper, Brittany, France, with a tradition dating back to the 17th century. Each piece is crafted from tin-glazed faience pottery and demonstrates the esteemed artistry of this French region. General wear with age and use.
