A Clint Alderman alkaline glaze stoneware milk jug of straight-sided cylindrical form with applied handles, featuring an incised scene of a man milking a cow alongside the phrase “Be Healthy Drink Milk.” The surface is finished in a rich, runny alkaline glaze characteristic of traditional Southern pottery. Incised signature and dated 2016. Alderman (born 1981), a prominent folk potter based in northeast Georgia, is recognized for his dedication to 19th-century techniques, having begun his training at age 15 under members of the Meaders and Crocker families. Measures approximately 17″ H x 8 1/2″ in diameter. Exhibits minimal surface imperfections and remains in overall good condition with no chips or cracks.
