A pair of Southern slave grave marker tiles reflecting the folk art craftsmanship associated with enslaved artisans, most commonly found in Georgia during the 18th and 19th centuries. Each tile features molded decorative elements with a star motif and is finished in a rich brown surface, carrying strong symbolic and cultural significance. Measures approximately 9″ H x 8″ W x 1 1/2″ D each. Shows general wear from outdoor exposure and age-appropriate condition consistent with historical use. Some chips.
