Gilt bronze, size 1 for wear on the small finger between the first two joints as was the custom. 2.0mm rounded face band with the Roman base nub. Oval bezel crisply cut with three herring bone patterns to serve as a signet. Wearing a signet ring, used to seal documents and business arrangements, was a status symbol, implying the importance of the wearer. Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold surface restored.
