Description
Iconic heart form. Over 5/8” (0.69”) height including the suspension loop. The broad edges scrolling at the top forming the cusp and the top two members of the trefoil on the depressed field, a favorite Viking form. Good high relief. Made by the open mold technique. The heart stood for bravery, fortitude, loyalty, integrity, all attributes of the Viking warrior. It is abundantly referenced in Viking literature. Surface textured from burial. Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold restored on an 18” gilt sterling silver neck chain for modern wear. Jewelry gift boxed with certificate of authenticity.
