Description

The period of Christ, and the persecution of Christians. Just under 1 7/8” (1.86”) in length including the suspension loop. Hilt with a globular terminal. Leaf shaped blade, pierced for suspension. Said to represent the Roman gladius sword, these were awarded to Roman soldiers wounded in battle. Professionally refurbished with the surface 24karat gold gilt and suspended on an 18” gilt sterling silver neck chain for contemporary wear. Jewelry gift boxed with certificate of authenticity.
