ARTIST BIO: Edith was born in 1926 and raised in Wallerfangen , West Germany , near the French border. From the time she was a very young girl in her native country, she pursued art as her passion. In 1947, she arrived in the United States with her first born daughter, Pati, as one of the first war brides.
With a degree under her arm from Fullerton Junior College in 1969 in fine arts, she taught at a variety of schools in Southern California and then proceeded to start her career in local and travel workshops. Edith's watercolor workshops took her and her students through many countries. Edith preferred the street as her studio. Packing only pallet and brush, she was always anxious to explore. Over the next 33 years, Edith participated in over 75 exhibitions.
In 1985 after traveling the world over Edith moved permanently to Mexico . Puerto Vallarta stole her heart where she would live her remaining days in this magical place. Recognized as one of the best technical watercolorist in Mexico , her style developed richness beyond belief.
Edith's imaginative spirit and energies soared within her watercolors. Fondly called "Paloma," the Spanish word for dove; her paintings are a unique swirling of tranquility and passion. Her style is rich in color and content.
