.44 Cal. 7.5" barrel length. SN: 5407. Blued metal finish cleaned to bright with walnut two-piece grips mounting conical brass front blade and dovetailed rear notch sights. Single action six-shot percussion revolver with solid frame and octagonal barrel. Topstrap is marked ROGERS & SPENCER/UTICA NY. Item shows a {Shield} proof to lower frame, and C initial to the barrel after the serial number and mating number, the latter being 2709. P initial to right barrel, but no extant cartouches on grips. Serial numbers match on the barrel, butt and left frame, but the cylinder shows a non matching number of 5410. Replaced loading lever stud, and likely replaced front sight. {ANTIQUE}

Condition
Good. Bore is Bright, showing signs of polishing with worn rifling. Metal finish cleaned to bright overall with some traces of blue remaining on the triggerguard, right frame, and cylinder. Mottled gray to brown patina forming in recesses. Sanded grips have handling wear, dents, and chips along the edges of the butt. Action fails to fully index and lock on two chambers.
