.44 Cal. 6" barrel length. SN: 875. Reblued metal finish with fire blued triggerguard mounting one piece walnut grips, dovetail front blade and hammer rear notch sights. Double action six-shot percussion revolver with loading lever below round barrel. Left frame is marked STARR'S PATENT JAN. 15. 1856, with the right marked STARR. ARMS. CO. NEW. YORK. Serial numbers match in hammer recess, hammer, barrel, and cylinder. No visible martial inspection marks. Grips have been aggressively sanded. {ANTIQUE}

Condition
Good as Refinished. Bore is Frosty with scattered pitting and strong rifling. Metal refinish thinning overall with flecking to the frame and a gray to brown patina dominating on gripstraps. Some light pitting on frame and barrel, and sights of aggressive polishing prior to refinish. Grips have been sanded down with no extant markings and show scattered handling dents. A hole has been drilled into the butt. One cone is shattered. Action does not function, and fails to reliably index or lock the cylinder, and fails to reset.
