US Model 1866 "2nd Allin" Conversion Rifle

.50-70. 36.625" barrel. NSN. Bright finish, iron furniture, walnut stock. Single shot breechloading cartridge conversion from percussion with M1866 pattern rear sight, Barleycorn front sight, sling swivels and jag head cleaning rod. Standard lock markings, dated 1864 at the tail. A single weak cartouche is visible on the counterpane. {ANTIQUE}

Condition
Good. Bore good, with moderate oxidation and some scattered pitting and decent rifling. Metal moderately oxidized with a dull steel gray patina, scattered discoloration and some pinprick pitting. Mechanically functional action. Wood with some wear, showing scattered bumps, dings and mars.
