.36 Cal. 7.375" barrel length. SN: 14156. Blued metal finish with brass triggerguard mounting two piece walnut grips mounting German silver front cone sight and grip escutcheons. Single action six-shot percussion revolver with octagonal barrel signed BEALS' PATENT SEPT. 14. 1858/MANUFACTURED BY REMINGTON'S ILION. N.Y. Finish is worn off with a gray to brown patina dominating. Item was buffed clean at some point with marks showing overall. {ANTIQUE}
Condition
Good. Bore is Frosty with patina throughout and strong rifling. Metal finish shows signs of buffing overall with pitting to rear barrel, cylinder, interior frame, and loading lever. Triggerguard has some dark tarnish suggesting possible traces of silver finish remaining, and a pale patina dominating. Grips with some handling wear, dents, and chips. Grips have been sanded with metal fitting proud of the wood. Action shows good timing.
