.36 Cal. 6" barrel length. SN: 110. Blued metal finish mounting bordered checkered walnut grips with hardrubber checkered buttplate. Double action six-shot percussion revolver with side mounted loading lever, dovetailed front blade and hammer rear notch sights. Left frame marked ADAMS PATENT/MAY 3 1858 with right struck PATENT JUNE 3. 1858. Maker mark to topstrap reads MANUFACTURED BY/MASS ARMS CO./CHICOPEE FALLS. The loading lever patent marking reads KERR'S PATENT/APRIL 14. 1857. Item features a safety latch to right frame. {Antique}
Condition
Good. Bore is Dark with some oxidation throughout, and some wear to rifling. Metal finish displays some light pitting over the cylinder and to the interior frame. Further light pitting scattered overall. Metal is primarily brown patina with signs of buffing on barrel. Grips with some handling wear and sanding to edges. Action shows good timing with loose lockup and weak mainspring.
