.36 caliber. 7.5" round barrel. SN: 19236 (mfg. ca. 1864). No finish, brass backstrap and triggerguard, one piece smooth walnut grip. Single action percussion revolver with unfluted six-chambered cylinder, hammer nose notch rear sight, German silver blade front sight and creeping loading lever. Weak one-line New-York U.S.A. barrel address, weak two-line frame patent mark. Visible numbers match, cylinder likely renumbered, wedge mismatched, arbor matching. Revolver is accompanied by a more recent tooled leather flap holster missing the closure button. {ANTIQUE}
Condition
Fair to Good. Bore moderately pitted with visible rifling. Metal cleaned to bright and dulling down with scattered oxidation and discoloration and some pitting. No cylinder scene, weak markings. Mechanically functional action. Grip well worn with numerous bumps, dings and mars. Holster fair to good with moderate wear.
