.45-70. 32.375" barrel. SN: 78212. Blued and color casehardened finish, iron furniture, walnut stock. Single shot breechloading military rifle with M1879 pattern rear sight, Barleycorn front sight, sling and stacking swivels and cleaning rod. Standard markings in metal. Wood markings mostly obscured by an old refinish. Rifle is equipped with a US M1887 sling and includes an M1873 bayonet with scabbard but no frog and a McKeever cartridge box. {ANTIQUE}

Condition
Fair. Fair bore is moderately oxidized with some pitting and decent rifling. Metal with traces of finish in protected areas and showing moderate oxidation and discoloration. Markings in metal mostly legible, not visible in wood. Mechanically functional action. Wood sanded and refinished with some of the added finish intact. Wood with scattered bumps, dings and mars. Accessories all about fair to good with moderate to heavy wear.
