.22 Rimfire. 3.125" barrel length. SN: 59955. Blued finish with casehardened hammer and silver finished frame mounting varnished Rosewood grips with German Silver escutcheons, and replaced front blade sight. Single action seven-shot tip-up revolver with spur trigger and knurled hammer. Top of the barrel shows maker marking SMITH & WESSON. SPRINGFIELD. MASS. Cylinder marked in a single line PATENTED APRIL 3. 1855. JULY 5. 1859. & DEC. 18. 1860. The cylinder and barrel are both struck with a 9U mating mark. {ANTIQUE}

Condition
Very Fine. Bore is Frosty with some patina, and light pitting. Blued finish flaking on the barrel with an amber to brown patina forming in the losses. Frame retains a strong silver finish with edgewear and scratches, and a dark tarnish overall. Some case colors remain visible on hammer. Flaking to varnish on grips, with some light dents. Action shows good timing.
