
Cartridge Altered Remington New Model Army Revolver
.44 Rimfire. 8" barrel length. SN: 50749. Blued metal finish with brass triggerguard mounting varnished walnut two piece grips, repaired front sight and topstrap notch rear sight. Single action six shot cartridge converted revolver. Octagonal barrel marked in three lines on the upper barrel is worn down with crisp address and NEW MODEL marking. Cylinder is unmarked. Front sight base is brass with a silver blade inserted showing four stars and RICA on the flanks, suggesting it was cut from a coin. Loading lever stud replaced. {ANTIQUE}

Condition
Good. Bore is Dark with patina and oxidation throughout, and strong rifling. Metal finish is a deep brown patina overall with scattered light nicks, and signs of buffing on rear frame. Triggerguard is tarnished. Grips have been extensively sanded with chipping and abrasions. Action is functional but very rough.
