Sharps Rifle Socket Bayonet by Collins & Co with Scabbard
American Civil War
15.5" blade, 3" socket, 18.375" in overall length. Face of blade unmarked, left side of socket market C&Co. Locking ring intact. Includes a well worn July of 1864 "8-Rivet" scabbard.
This lot is located in Cincinnati.
Condition
Fair. Blade shortened from 18" to 15.5", with even light to moderate pitting along its length. Markings remain legible. Locking ring intact and functional. Scabbard well worn with the frog starting to show red rot.
