.50 Cal. 24" barrel length. SN: 993173. Blued metal finish with casehardened lock in walnut straight wrist stock featuring custom carving by Bill Jennings. Single shot percussion rifle with octagonal barrel mounting adjustable rear notch and front blade sights. Item shows standard CONNECTICUT VALLEY ARMS markings and FRONTIER HUNTER model marking. Stock is carved with a stalking bear to right butt and foliate embellishments to right forend around wedge pin escutcheon. Consignor declares that this stock carving was done by Bill Jennings. Good to Very Good. Bore is Very Bright with sharp rifling throughout. Metal finish with some residues. Brown patina forming to ramrod pipe. Stock retains its polish and crisp details.
