
**Colt Model 1917 Post-War Revolver
.45 ACP. 5.5" barrel length. SN: 234781 (Colt SN, indicating 1919 Production) Blued metal finish with polished hammer flanks and smooth walnut two piece grips mounting lanyard loop to butt. Double action six-shot hand ejector revolver with fixed front blade with topstrap rear notch sights. Markings include two-line address and patent to the top of the barrel with the left struck COLT D.A. 45, and the lower barrel marked UNITED STATES PROPERTY. Revolver further marked with the {Rampant Colt} logo on the sideplate, {Eaglehead/18} inspection stamp to left frame, and H stamp to interior frame and rear cylinder. Butt is marked U.S./ARMY/MODEL/1917. Serial numbers match on the frame and crane. Serial number on butt reads 100492. Grips have been sanded. {C&R}

Condition
Good. Bore is Bright with crisp rifling throughout. Metal finish shows a gray to brown patina forming on the hammer flanks, a thin blue overall with brown patina forming on handling surfaces, some light edgewear, and scratches. Cylinder displays a light turn ring. Grips sanded with handling dents and nicks on the butt. Action exhibits good timing with a tight lockup.
