
*Colt 1911 with 1913 Slide and 1918 Frame
.45 ACP. 5" barrel length. SN: C103634. Blued metal refinish mounting diamond checkered laminated wood grips and polished trigger. Single action short recoil operated autoloading pistol fed by detachable single stack magazines. The slide is most likely 1913 vintage owing to early rounded sights, half-moon blade, and circled {Rampant Colt} to left slide behind the cocking serrations. Property mark to right slide has been ground off. Frame is a Black Army pattern with distinctive teardrop cuts, and a serial number dating to 1918, with C prefix indicating commercial production. Note, the escutcheons on the frame have been welded or brass brazed in place, and are no longer removable. Left slide marked PATENTED APR. 20. 1897/SEPT. 9. 1902. DEC. 19. 1905. FEB. 14. 1911. followed by two-line address reading COLT'S PT. F.A. MFG. CO./HARTFORD. CT. U.S.A. Item mounts a flat lanyard loop mainspring housing with replaced grip safety, and a wide 1911 pattern hammer. Magazine is unmarked with a bare metal finish. {MODERN}

Condition
Good as Refinished. Bore is Dark with patina and some light pitting and worn rifling. Metal finish to slide is primarily brown patina with some oxidized flecking, and signs of polishing. Frame finish with edgewear, brown patina on gripstraps, and brown flecking scattered overall. Retaining pin for the barrel link has been staked on both sides, and slides in place. Slide wiggles slightly in place. Grips with some light handling dents and two dark spots to right grip panel.
