
**Colt Model 1902 Pistol
.38 Automatic. 6" barrel length. SN: 37284. (Mfg. ca 1915) Blued metal finish with polished hammer and ejector, nitre blued small parts, and mounting checkered hardrubber grips with COLT logos and {Rampant Colt} marks. Short-recoil operated single action autoloading pistol fed by detachable single stack magazines. Item features the spur hammer and rear mounting cocking serrations typical of later production Model 1902 pistols. Left slide shows patent marking reading PATENTED/APR. 20. 1897. SEPT. 9. 1902 followed by COLT'S PT. F.A. MFG. CO./HARTFORD, CT. U.S.A. Right slide is further marked AUTOMATIC COLT/CALIBRE 38 RIMLESS SMOKELESS. Left barrel shows the Colt VP monogram proof marking, P mark below trigger, and number 7 to right frame below muzzle. Right slide is drilled and tapped below ejection port on right side. Replaced rear sight. Magazine is blued and otherwise unmarked.{C&R}

Condition
Good to Very Good as refinished. Bore is dirty with firing residues throughout that should clean to Bright with crisp rifling throughout. Metal finish with some light pitting to the slide filled in with refinish. Some light edgewear overall with some scratches, and brown streaking through the slide and on the gripstraps. Mottled brown patina on hammer. Spliced metal edge to the hammer. Grips show some light handling wear but retain crisp checkering and details to logos.
