This beautiful heavily detailed gilt brass Tibetan buddha was acquired from an Asia antique collector's private estate auction. The piece is in near perfect condition was said to be purchased overseas from Asia and shipped to the US after a visit in the early 1970s. The Abhaya Mudra is a raised right hand and palm facing out, while the left hand is down and also facing out. This posture of the Buddha statue represents peaceful intentions and fearlessness. It also symbolizes the sense of strong inner security and the energy of protection.
