Hand-carved cedar jewelry box featuring intricate floral and scrollwork carving to the lid and sides, raised on carved feet. Lid decorated with a decoupage pastoral scene depicting yellow flowers in the foreground. Interior fitted with a rose-detailed mirror to the underside of the lid. Includes assorted brooches comprising a gold-tone rose and crown example, a silver-tone ornate feather, a gold-tone butterfly with dotted wing decoration, and a gold-tone cameo depicting a woman against a pink and cream ground. Box measures approx. 4 1/4" H x 11 1/4" W x 7" D. In good condition with light surface wear consistent with age and use.
