Chippendale Andirons

Description

Circa 1800 pair of brass Chippendale cannon ball top andirons with urn and ring turned columns, stops, and spur foot. Possibly made by William Molineaux of Boston, Massachusetts. Period construction, soldered brass uprights and peened over wrought iron post. Repairs to wrought iron log rests, one with missing brass log stop and replaced by old wrought iron repair. Otherwise functional. Measures 10.5 inches wide x 20.5 x 16.5 inches tall.
