Circa 1940s bubble cocktail ring in sterling silver with yellow gold electroplating, set with foil-back crystals, owned and worn by Lana Turner. The lot includes a full-page black-and-white magazine clipping featuring a portrait of Turner wearing the ring.
Turner was one of MGM's most prominent stars of Hollywood's Golden Age, known for films such as The Postman Always Rings Twice and Imitation of Life, and celebrated for her glamour and influence on mid-century fashion and style. The ring was originally sold in a 1990s Christie's Hollywood auction and is accompanied by an EAC Gallery Certificate of Authenticity.
