
Description
Alaska, late 19th century, constructed with a slender wooden stem tightly wrapped in sinew, fitted with a small carved bowl at the upper end. Retains attached hide thong and shows deep patina from age and use. Likely used for trade or personal tobacco smoking, together with a smaller pipe. Lg. 15 and 4 ¾ in.
