This beautifully painted landscape was done by Philadelphia artist, Robert Baranet (1925-2001) at his studio in Connecticut, where he lived and worked for 36 years. Baranet graduated with honors from The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, in Philadelphia, he was also personally invited to attend The Barnes Foundation, in Merion, PA, by Dr.Albert Barnes, and attended The Grand Chaumier, Paris, on a traveling scholarship as well. Baranet was a noted portrait painter with the prestigious, Portraits, Inc., Park Avenue, New York, for many years and additionally, taught portraiture at The Art Students League, New York, until his death in 2001.
