Description
A rare and exceptional piece of Swedish Grace furniture, handmade in Sweden in the 1920s. Attributed to famed furniture designer Otto Schulz of Boet, this cabinet showcases the sophisticated Swedish Grace style, an important period of Neoclassical Revival in Scandinavia (1910s–1930s). Swedish Grace (often described as refined Swedish Art Deco) served as the elegant bridge between traditional classicism and the emerging Functionalist movement. Pieces from this era are highly valued for their superb craftsmanship and luxurious materials.
"• Hand-Carved Figures: The doors feature highly detailed, hand-carved Caryatid figures (classical female forms), providing a luxurious architectural focal point typical of the style's classical influence.
"• Premium Wood: Constructed from rich, deep-toned solid mahogany, golden elm and beautiful highly figured crotch mahogany book-matched veneer, reflecting the era's focus on material prestige.
"• Versatile Storage: The closed storage space functions perfectly as a modern Bar Cabinet for spirits and glassware or as an elegant linen and dining storage or server.
"•Three felt lined drawers.
"•Movable interior shelves.
"•Antique brass mock key pulls and retrofitted interior magnets for a firm closure.
This unique antique is an unmistakable statement of European artistry and history.
