Konrad Dannenberg (1912–2009) was a pioneering rocket propulsion engineer whose career bridged the earliest V-2 rocket testing at White Sands and the Saturn launch vehicles that powered the Apollo Moon missions. As a senior member of the von Braun team at NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center, Dannenberg played a key role in the development and testing of large liquid-fueled engines. His autographed postal and philatelic items are especially prized for their direct association with both early postwar rocketry and the engineering foundations of human lunar exploration.
