Description
A pre-WWII (est. c.1920s) German manufactured Deutsche Werke Werk Erfurt Ortgies semi-automatic pistol chambered in .32ACP in fair to good condition. The pistol is blued and exhibits a thorough plum color throughout. Overall bluing is estimated to be 70% with localized areas of faded finish on the slide, consistent with age and use. The pistol's action appears to function properly. Barrel reads 7.65m/m indicating .32ACP. Slide reads "Ortgies' Patent". The exterior of the wooden grips are in very good condition. The left grip however, appears to have a repair attempt to the inside which does not appear to have lasted, resulting in the grip finding difficulty staying latched onto the frame during use. The piece of wood from the repair is still present though, meaning an additional attempt is still possible given the appropriate skill level. Please see pictures for better understanding. The under side of the frame reads Germany and displays the serial number: 106546. The magazine release is the standard European style release and appears to function properly, though the magazine is not present. Estimated shipping parcel size (LxWxH) 10 inches x 6 inches x 4 inches. Please note, shipping estimates are provided for LiveShipping calculations only and may vary based on weight and location. The auction house will combine multiple lots to reduce shipping cost. Please inform the auction house prior to paying your invoice for special shipping requests. Our primary method of shipping is via UPS Ground.
