Twice King of Poland"”and twice ousted"”Stanislas I LeszczyÅ„ski fled to France around 1736 where he would become the Duke of Lorraine and of Bar. His daughter, Maria, married Louis XV and was queen consort for 43 years. The Countess of Loisy was a descendant and this engraving hung at home in her private office.
