This fine porcelain figurine from Lladro, titled "Behave!" (Spanish title: ?A Portarse Bien!), was designed by sculptor Francisco Polope and first issued in 1990. The piece depicts a young boy with curly brown hair, dressed in a pale blue shirt and navy trousers, seated upon a tufted pale pink cushion decorated with blue floral sprigs. He is shown in a charming pose, wagging a finger as if scolding or instructing the tan and white puppy cradled in his lap. The underside bears the blue underglaze Lladro factory mark with the bellflower logo, "HAND MADE IN SPAIN," and the "(c) DAISA 1990" copyright. The model number 5703 is incised into the base alongside various artisan marks including "A-15 J." Height: 5 inches.
