Description: Antique French Empire Style Marquetry Inlay Commode Chest of DrawersGorgeous French Empire style commode/chest of drawers featuring intricate inlaid marquetry with a finely detailed inlaid ribbon dual torch focal point. The central design is embedded into Rosewood which is surrounded by a gorgeous inlaid pattern, trimmed within the two center drawer panels. The cabinet comprises of rosewood, kingwood and softer fruitwoods within the inlay sections. This piece has two center drawers and a smaller finely detailed antique brass scroll pattern mounted top drawer, all providing ample storage. Other features include antique brass ormolu mounts on the sides, a Greek-key style brass patterned mount along the skirt, sculpted brass lions paw feet, and a gorgeous beveled edge cabernet marble top.Circa 19th CenturyDimensions:H 40”W 49”D 23”
