Substantial pine carpenter’s tool chest featuring original darkened finish with black-painted corner accents, iron corner brackets, and period hardware including hasp lock plate and side carry handles. The hinged lid opens to reveal a multi-compartment interior with removable sliding till and upper dividers, along with a lower saw well designed to secure full-length handsaws. Interior retains original saw rack hardware and wooden guides. Included are six antique hand saws with mixed hardwood handles—several retaining medallions—with blades showing honest workshop wear and age patina.

Chest shows heavy age-related wear including finish loss, scuffing, surface scratches, edge wear, and oxidation to hardware. Interior exhibits typical staining and tool marks from long-term use. Saws show surface rust, blade darkening, and handle wear; teeth condition not evaluated. Structurally solid overall.
