A dark blue U.S. Navy lieutenant junior grade frock coat with brass buttons, junior grade insignia on the sleeves and full lieutenants shoulder boards, label inside the pocket is marked "Massie/Jan 10-1927", with a twilled black lining; a dark blue broadcloth U.S. Navy coatee with brass buttons, gold metallic tape on te collar, sleeve rank insignia removed but in the pocket, and the lining has been removed; and a dark blue boat cloak with a black velvet collar, and light blue doeskin lining (moth damage).

All have wear from age and use, a few scattered moth nips, the coatee is missing some of the lining, and the cloak has scattered holes in the light blue lining.
