Two physionotrace portraits of gentlemen, measuring 5cm and 6cm in diameter, sheets measuring 11.5 x 10.5cm and 14.5 x 11.5cm, one with Studio Quenedey credit printed below [the other credit obscured], one annotated in pencil "le Prince de Montblazon."
The physionotrace is an early pre-photographic intaglio printing method and an example of one of the methods used to mechanically transpose an image, in this case a portrait, to a printing plate.
