Tiger Maple Chest, 19th Century

Description

Fine 19th century tiger maple chest of drawers of large, masculine proportions, featuring a molded edge beneath the top drawer and a case fitted with beautifully graduated tiger maple drawer fronts. The drawers are framed with applied beaded molding and flanked by turned columns at each side, terminating in turned feet. Notable for its fine selection of richly figured tiger maple throughout. Measures approximately 48 1/2" H x 43 1/4" W x 22 1/2" D. Good condition with some light wear to the finish consistent with age and use.
