Circa 1800, a refined pair of George III-style armchairs crafted from rich mahogany with a beautiful aged patina. Each chair features an open shieldback with intricate carvings that flow into sinuous, curved arms with continuous motion and molded legs terminating in spade feet. Further embellished with carved medallions and rosettes. The seats are upholstered in a soft raspberry-toned fabric with finely embroidered patterning. Measures approximately 38 1/8" H x 22 1/4" W x 17" D; seat height is 19". Some restoration to the backs and age-appropriate wear.
