A compelling and evocative bronze sculpture comprised of two distinct forms, dominated by a large abstract element modeled in the manner of a puzzle piece and accompanied by a smaller stylized biomorphic figure. The larger form features a green finish, while the smaller figure is rendered in a contrasting reddish-brown finish. Signed “Theo 1/20.” Theodora “Theo” Sable was a New York artist and designer who combined creativity with business vision; after teaching at Fordham University, she launched her jewelry design business in 1976 and exhibited in the Young Designers Room by 1978. Known for realistic, story-driven designs, she became recognized as a leading designer of her time.
