19th century lithograph by the James Tyroler Company of New York, originally engraved by Alexander Hay Ritchie in 1865, depicting an idealized evening reception honoring Martha Washington with hand-coloring carefully applied to a traditional lithograph. Based on a painting by Daniel Huntington. Housed in an ornate gilt frame. Frame measures approximately 31" H x 43 3/4" W x 1 3/4" D. Some discoloration consistent with age.
