A fine study of one of Chardin’s most celebrated compositions, with careful attention given to the masterful rendering of texture, evident in the soft, delicate fur of the hare and the detailed feathers of the game bird. Housed in a dark wood frame with gilt border. Measures approximately 43 3/4" H x 38 1/2" W. Good condition with light wear to the frame.
